# Coaching

> Talk ratio, monologues, and question rate per rep — plus QBR Briefs.

<Note>
Coaching is rolling out gradually. If you don't see a **Coaching** item
in your sidebar yet, it isn't enabled for your workspace — QBR Briefs
appear as a **Dashboards** tab in the meantime.
</Note>

**Dashboards** answers *"how are the deals doing?"* — **Coaching**
answers *"how is this person selling?"* It has two sub-tabs.

## Call habits

Per-rep conversation metrics, computed from your recorded calls:

* **Talk ratio** — your share of the speaking time, with a trend
against your own recent average. On discovery calls, staying under
roughly half the airtime is the healthy zone; the tile flags high
  ratios.
* **Longest monologue** — the longest stretch you spoke without a real
pause from the other side. Great for spotting the eight-minute demo
  ramble nobody remembers giving.
* **Question rate** — questions asked per 10 minutes of your talk
time. A rough but honest proxy for how much discovering you're
  actually doing.

### Who is "you" on a call?

On bot-recorded calls, TrailerCast identifies you automatically from
the meeting platform's participant names. On older or manually
uploaded recordings it may ask **"which speaker is you?"** — one
click, and it also fixes the speaker labels on that call's review
page. Coaching never guesses: a call where you can't be identified is
listed separately rather than silently miscounted.

### Who can see what

Everyone sees their **own** habits. Team-wide views require the
team-reports permission — typically managers and admins.

## QBR Briefs

The AI-generated quarterly rollup — closed-won and closed-lost
lessons, pipeline by stage, at-risk deals, talking points, and the
hard questions your manager will ask. Lives here as the second
Coaching sub-tab. Full guide: [QBR Briefs](/qbr-briefs).

## Thin data is expected at first

Habits need calls with usable speaker separation — bot-recorded calls
are the gold standard. If your workspace has only a handful of
recordings, expect thin stats rather than judgments: the metrics get
sharper with every recorded call.
