# Glossary

> Words and acronyms used throughout TrailerCast and these docs.

  <Accordion title="AE">
    Account Executive, a sales rep, typically responsible for closing deals once they're qualified.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Bot (recording bot)">
    The Recall.ai-powered participant that joins your video call to capture the recording. Visible to all attendees as a participant.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Buyer Space (Decision Room)">
    An interactive multi-section page combining a trailer with discovery, comparison, ROI, and a live conversation thread. One link replaces the typical "deck + sheet + email thread" mess of a B2B sale. See [Buyer Spaces](/buyer-spaces).

  <Accordion title="Demo">
    A recorded product demonstration call, processed into a highlight trailer through TrailerCast's full pipeline.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Engagement heat-map">
    Visual showing which moments of a trailer prospects rewatched (red = hot) vs. skipped (cool blue).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Global Admin">
    The immutable top-level admin role for a company. One per company; can only be transferred. Has every permission, can mark recordings private, can delete the company. See [Roles & Permissions](/roles-and-permissions).

  <Accordion title="Highlight Summary">
    AI-derived feature/benefit summary on a demo's right rail Highlights tab. Synthesized from the moments the AI picked.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Ingest pipeline">
    The chain of steps from upload to finished trailer: transcribe → clean transcript → detect moments → compose trailer → narration → upload to storage.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Meeting">
    A recorded internal or partner call. Transcribed + summarized but no trailer produced.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Moment">
    A clip of a longer recording the AI selected for inclusion in the trailer. Each moment has a feature label, benefit framing, source-recording start/end timestamps, and a position in the trailer (reel offset).

  <Accordion title="Personalization (AI Personalization form)">
    The 5-field form in Settings where you tell TrailerCast what your company does, who you sell to, and what value props you emphasize. Read by every AI inference. See [AI Personalization](/setup/ai-personalization).

  <Accordion title="Qualifying Call">
    A discovery call with a prospect. Transcribed + AI-summarized but no trailer produced. Can be turned into a Buyer Space with one click.

  <Accordion title="RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)">
    The AI technique TrailerCast uses to ground its outputs in your past data. When generating a new trailer's moments, it retrieves your past high-engagement moments and shows them to the AI as examples. See [How the AI learns](/how-the-ai-learns).

  <Accordion title="Recall.ai">
    Third-party service powering the meeting bots that auto-join your calendar events.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Reel offset">
    A moment's start position in the composed trailer (different from its start position in the original source recording).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Share link">
    A public URL (`/share/<token>`) that lets anyone view a trailer without an account. Revokable any time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="SDR">
    Sales Development Representative, typically responsible for prospecting and booking discovery calls.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Source recording">
    The original, unedited demo recording. Distinct from the composed trailer. The "Watch full recording" action opens this.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Trailer">
    The final composed highlight reel, typically 10–15 minutes. Long enough to carry context, short enough that prospects finish them. The thing you send prospects.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Topic">
    A coherent thread of discussion within a transcript. The AI extracts 4–10 topics per qualifying call or meeting and surfaces them as the chapter strip on the call detail page.

  <Accordion title="Winter">
    TrailerCast's built-in AI assistant, named after the Samoyed in our logo (he/him). Lives as a floating pill at the bottom right of every page. See [Ask Winter](/ask-winter).
